  • What I'm Most Thankkful For

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I can’t believe it is Thanksgiving already. This year seems to have gone by so fast. All of a sudden Thanksgiving crept up on me. I have been really wrapped up in the stuff that goes on everyday and I realized that I haven’t been spending as much time thinking about the things I am thankful for as I usually do. I have a lot to be thankful for, even when things aren’t going too good. I wanted to share my Most Thankful Things list with you.

The thing I am the MOST THANKFUL for is my health. I’m glad I am feeling good!

    I’m also Thankful for:

    My family
    My friends
My doctors / nurses (except the Dr. that gave me Ketamine with my chemo the other day, I could have lived without that)
My bulldog Rinkles!! She’s the cutest
    My PSP :)
Having a home and food to eat
    Having hair again
    Subway restaurants
The organizations that help me help other people
Finding 5 matching marrow donors for people
Being able to be on the Late Late Show agai...Read More

It's Time For Change So much has been going on lately, both in the world and with me! I was really excited about the election last week and so happy that Obama won! I think that this country really needs some change and the time is now for a new face and new ideas to make that change! I went to the voting polls with Levi from Causecast to see how it works. There were so many people waiting patiently in line to make their voice hear by casting their vote. It was really obvious how important this vote was to all the people that showed up! I can’t wait to be able to vote myself (even thought I did vote on Nickelodeon Channels Kids Pick the President Campaign and Obama won there too!) Obama’s speech after he won was awesome and really inspiring. I wonder what kind of puppy his kids are getting to live in the White House with them?

Yesterday I went to the Tony Hawk Stand Up for Skateparks event. I interviewed people on the red carpet for Causecast www.causecast.org and asked them about their Cau...Read More

  • Teen Choice / Do Something Award

Pat,_LC_and_Lo.jpg The Do Something Pre Party and the Teen Choice Awards were both a lot of fun! Even though I didn’t win the Teen choice award, I still had a great time and met so many cool people. Lauren Conrad and Lo gave me my Do Something Award (www.dosomething.org) and said some really nice things about me and my work! All the Do Something Finalists got to walk the red carpet at both events which was fun. Tucker even got to interview the celebs on the red carpet about what their causes are. He got some awesome answers from people about what is important to them.

Chad Bullock ended up winning the Teen choice Award for his work with his anti smoking campaign called Kicking Stinky Butts, he is a really nice guy! The past few months on the road have been fun but a lot of work and now i’m excited to go home!

IMG_4764.png Today I went to Westmead Children’s Hospital to get my weekly labs done. The hospital was really cool with lots of play places, Starlight Foundation room with movie and games and even a large outside playground with a “human checkers” game. I was excited to play there but when my labs came back I got the news that my labs ( my white cell count and defense against infection) was really low. I was so bummed because we had to cancel my plans with the Australia Red Cross and Australia Bone Marrow Donor Registry for the next few days. I even had plans to go to the Australia Zoo and meet Bindi Irwin and I can’t do it!! I have to rest in the hotel room and can’t do anything so I am sad. But I feel good, just tired, so its not so bad. All of the people who go through transplants have to do this for more than 6 months with never going out or being around people so I really can’t complain!

  • Kerri Anne Show

IMG_4758-1.png I was so excited to be on the Kerri Anne Show on Channel 9 today! She has a show right after the Today show with a lot of guests and musicians. We talked about what I was doing in Australia and my show I am filming called The Planet Us! She is so nice and we had a ton of fun! She even put the camera on Tucker in his Koala jacket to show everyone how cute he is!

Tomorrow she is going to show Bindi Irwins 10th Birthday Bash. I wish I could be there! Bindi is an amazing kid doing awesome things for animal conservation and I think she is terrific! Happy Birthday Bindi!
